Veterans Day Donation

Each and every time we make a donation I think to myself “this is the best one yet”. I swear they get better and better each time. This past November we made our biggest donation yet. In total we donated 1,000 shirts! We wanted to show our appreciation to all the wonderful men and women who have served our great county. We created a special shirt design just for our Veterans with the message “Home of the Free because of the Brave.” Our first 900 shirts went to the Disabled American Veterans Race across the country. This race is a 5K that raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans are facing every day. To partner up with such a great organization meant the world to us.

Being from the small town of Marshall, IL I have always wanted to donate back to my hometown to thank all of the people that have supported my dream and made a forever dream of mine come true. This November I was able to donate 100 shirts back to the wonderful Veterans in Clark County. I am so honored to be able to donate these shirts to all of our wonderful Veterans in Marshall and in honor of my favorite Veteran, my Grandpa, Ray Welsh.  I was also lucky enough to connect with my 5th grade teacher, Jill Strohm, and the rest of the 5th grade teachers who put on an event for the Veterans every year. She does a fantastic job with the program and I was so honored to be a part of the event this year. As the Veterans arrived at the event they each received one of our donation shirts. I may be a little biased but the Veterans in Marshall are the absolute sweetest. They were all so appreciative and told me numerous times how much they appreciated the shirts.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission to spread positivity and for helping to make our largest donation yet a huge success!
